Installing Eight-Sec Theme (Administration Panel)

• Get a copy of Eight-Sec Theme
• Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
• Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New
• Click on Upload Theme button at the top and browse the downloaded zip file in your computer.
• Click on Install button and then Activate the theme.

Installing  Eight-Sec Theme (Cpanel / FTP)

• Get a copy of Eight-sec Theme
• Unzip the downloaded zip file.
• Upload the unzipped file into /wp-content/themes/
• Now, activate the theme by going to Appearance -> ThemeWordPresswordpress dashboard.
• Activate the Eight Sec  and Click on “Theme Option” in the Appearance Menu in the Dashboard.

Updating Theme

• Backup your existing theme folder
• Copy the files inside "eight-sec" folder from the zip file of the latest version of  Eight-Sec Theme.
• Enter the theme's admin panel and save your options.

• Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.Go to Appearance > About Eight Sec.
• Click on "Import Demo "
• Install Instant Demo Importer Plugin and activate it.
• Click on "Install Demo".

Site Identity

• Enter your Site Title and Tagline
• Choose Site Icon or Favicon for your site.
• Choose a logo for your site.

Colors

• Choose Background Color -- "Background Color" refers to the whole site background color.

Background Image

• Choose Background Image for your website.

Homepage Setting

• Choose between "Your Latest Post" and "A Static Page" to show as frontpage. (Note: you must create the Page first. From Admin > Page > Add New)

Footer CopyRight

• Enter text or Html to show in the footer.

Web Layout Setting

• Choose weblayout for your Site. This setting will be applied for your Whole site.

CLICK ON "Save & Publish" TO SAVE "DEFAULT SETTINGS". 

Logo Alignment

• Choose the layout that you want.

Menu Setting

• Check to show Eight Section in the menu .

Search Setting

• Check to show search in a header.
• Enter text to change placeholder text in header search box.
• Enter text to change button text in header search box.

CLICK ON "Save & Publish" TO SAVE "HEADER SETTINGS".

Slider Setting 

    Step1.  Create Slider Category

• Go to Dashboard->Post->Categories
• Click on 'Add new category button'. 
• Enter the title for the Post Category(eg.Slider)

• Enable/Disable Main Slider

    step 2.   Create Slider Post

• Go to->Dashboard Post ->Add new 
• Enter the title for the slider post.
• Enter the content for the slider post.

    step 3.Configure Category Slider in Slider Section

• Go to Dashboard Appearance->Customize->HomePage Section->Slider section.
• Enable/Disable Slider Section.
• Select the slider category that you created earlier from 'Choose Category for Slider' dropdown option.
• Add read more text if you want to show on slider section.
• Enable/Disable Show control.
• Enable/disable Show pager.

About Section

• Enable/Disable About   Section.
• Fill  menu Title Text.
• Select the page to show section title and description.
• Select category to show services in About Section.

   Create a Post  'Category' for Services then select respective Category.

Portfolio Section

• Enable/Disable Portfolio section on Homepage.
• Fill  menu Title Text.
• Select the page to show section title and description.
• Select category to show the post in Portfolio Section.  

    Create a Post  'Category' for Portfolio then select respective Category.

Blog Section

• Enable/Disable Blog section
• Enter text for menu Title for the Blog section
• Select the page to show section title and description.
• Select the category of posts to show in this section.

    Create a Post  'Category' for Blog then select respective Category.

Call To Action Section​

• Enable/Disable CTA  section

• Enter Menu Title
• Select the page to show section title and description.
• Enter Button Text
• Enter Button Link

Team Section 

    Create a Post  'Category' for Team then select respective Category.

• Enable/Disable Team section.
• Enter Menu Title
• Select the page to show section title and description.
• Select the category of posts to show in this section.

Testimonial Section

• Select Yes to Show Testimonial Section on Homepage.
• Enter Menu Title.
• Select the page to show section title and description.
• Select Categories to Show in Testimonial Section.

Contact Section

• Select Yes to Show Contact Section on Homepage.
• Enter Menu Title.
• Select the page to show section title and description.

• 

• Choose Blog/Archive layout

• Enter readmore text for all the archive page.(Blog, Team, Portfolio and other Archive page)

  Go to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Social Settings

Enable/Disable Social icons in footer 

• Enable/Disable social links in the footer.

Social Links Add respective social URL. Leave blank if you do not want to display the link.

CLICK ON "Save & Publish" TO SAVE "SOCIAL LINK SETTINGS".

Appearance > Menus

Add Menu for your site.

Select the main menu as Primary menu after creating it.

Go to ->Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Widgets

And Configure Different Widgets
