Installing Lekh Theme(In Administration Panel)

Get a copy of zip file of Lekh Theme

Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.

Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New

Click on Upload Theme button at the top and browse the downloaded zip file in your computer.

Click on Install button and then Activate the theme.

Installing Lekh Theme(In Cpanel/ FTP)

Get a copy of zip file of Lekh Theme

Unzip the downloaded zip file.

Upload the unzipped file in /wp-content/themes/

Now, go to Appearance -> Themes in the wordpress dashboard.

Then Activate Lekh.

Updating Theme

There are 3 Homepage Template( Homepage template 1, Homepage template 2 and Homepage template 3). You need to choose one of those template to use homepage features. Steps to choose and configure homepage is given below:

• Go to Dashboard > Pages > Add New

• Create a page(for your Homepage)

• Enter Title(e.g. ‘Home’)

• Select Homepage from a Template dropdown in the right side of the page(Choose Template 1, Template 2 or Template 3). These three template has different post layout.

• Now Go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

• Set 'Front page displays' option to display 'A static page'.

• Then Select the Page (home page created with 'homepage' template) from 'Front Page' Drop Down List.

• Now configure the home page sections.

• You can import demo data by going to welcome page created during installation of theme.
  Navigate here:
  Appearance > About Lekh
  

• Site Identity

  • Choose Image for logo.

  • Enter your Site Title and Tagline

  • Check to display site title and tagline in header

  • Choose image for Site Icon.

• Color

  • ​Choose Background color.
  

• Background Image

  • Choose Image to add image in Background of your site.

  

• Weblayout Setting

  • ​​Choose Boxed or Fullwidth Layout for your site.
  

• Preloader Setting

• Choose ‘Yes’ to enable preloader in your site.

• Choose background color for Preloader.

• Add image to set as preloader.

• Footer Text

  • Enter the text to show in footer.
  

Here you will need to setup the settings for header layout.

• Header Layout

  • Choose Header Layout

  

  • Choose logo position( Note: This setting is only for header layout 1 and 2 with different option.)

• Header Background

• Choose Header background color.

• Choose Header background Image.

• Sticky Header 

  • Select 'Yes' to enable Sticky Header.

• Search Option

  • Select Yes to Show Search icon in Header.

  • Enter the text to add placeholder in search field.

Here you can set up the settings for homepage.

• Slider Setting

  ---

  • Check to enable slider in homepage

  Add slider whether by Category or Other Plugins.

  Choose slider whether by Category or Other Plugins.

  • By Category

    • Choose category to show the post of category in slider.

    • Choose no. of posts in a Slide.

    • Choose total no. of posts in a Slider. 3 options (1,2,3 posts) available with 3 layouts

    • Select ‘Yes’ to enable page in a Slider.

    • Select ‘Yes’ to enable controls in a Slider.

    • Select Slider transition style.

    • Select ‘Yes’ to enable auto transition.

    • Select ‘Yes’ to show caption.

    • Enter Slider transition speed time.

    • Enter Slider transition pause time.

   

  • By Other Plugins

    • Enter the Shortcodes of Slider Plugins.

• Featured Post

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show featured post section on homepage below the slider.

  • Enter the text to show in featured section title.

  • Select the category to show the posts.

  • Choose no. of post to display in featured post. 3 options (3,4,5 posts) available with 3 layouts

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show the title of the post.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show the thumbnail of the post.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show author and date of the post.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show excerpt  of the post.

  

• Posts Settings

  • Select Categories to show the posts on Homepage.

  • Enter the no. of posts to show on Homepage.

  • Enter the excerpt of the post.

  • Enter readmore text for the read more button of the post.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of likes of the posts.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of views of the posts.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of comments of the posts.
  

• Homepage Layout

  • Select the sidebar layout for homepage.

Here you can set up the settings for Innerpage Settings

• Single Page Setting

• Select ‘Yes’ to enable slider in Single Page.

• Select the sidebar layout for Single Page. ( Note: This option only works if sidebar layout meta option in page is empty. )

• Single Post Setting

• Select ‘Yes’ to enable slider in Single Post.

• Select the sidebar layout for Single Post. ( Note: This option only works if sidebar layout meta option in post is empty. )

• Select ‘Yes’ to show related posts on Single Post.

• Enter text to show title in Recent post section.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of likes of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of views of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of comments of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show the share links of the posts.

• Category Page Setting

• Select ‘Yes’ to enable slider in Category Page.

• Select the sidebar layout for Category Page.

• Select the post layout for Category Page.

• Select no. of columns

• Enter the numbers for excerpt.

• Enter the text for read more button.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of likes of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of views of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of comments of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show the share links of the posts.

• Archive Page Setting

• Select ‘Yes’ to enable slider in Archive Page.

• Select the sidebar layout for Archive Page.

• Select the post layout for Archive Page.

• Select no. of columns

• Enter the numbers for excerpt.

• Enter the text for read more button.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of likes of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of views of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show no. of comments of the posts.

• Select ‘Yes’ to show the share links of the posts.

• Gallery Page Setting
  Note : For this option to appear you need to install Lekh CPT plugin embedded with theme.

  • Select ‘Yes’ to enable slider in Gallery Page.

  • Check the categories to show the post of those categories on Gallery page.

  • Select the post layout for Gallery Page.

• Select Yes to show Social icons in header.

• Select Yes to show Social icons in footer.

• Enter links of social sites. Enable the above option to show.

• Page Header Setting

  • Choose color for the title of the page(.e.g. Page, Post, Category and Archive)

  • Choose background color for the page header Section.

  • Upload image to add background in the page header Section.

  • Select Background type

  • Select image position

  • Select image attachment

  • Select image size

  • Select ‘Yes’ to Enable overlay

• Breadcrumb Setting

  • Select ‘Yes’ to display breadcrumb in page header.

  • Insert the character to Separate breadcrumb.

  • Enter the text for home

  • Choose color for the parent text

  • Choose color for the current text

• Typography Option

• Select the desired font family for all heading tags.( i.e. h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6)

• Select the desired font family for body text.

• Typography Formatting

  • Select the color and enter font size to show the formatting style for their respective tags.

• Appearance > Menu

• There are 3 menu location(Primary,Secondary-left and Secondary-right).

• So, create 3 menus and assign them to their respected menu location.

• Go to Backend > Appearance > Customize > Widgets

• And Configure Different Widgets
