Installing WP Generic Pro Theme (Administration Panel)

Get a copy of WP Generic Pro Theme
Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
Click on Appearance -> Themes -> Add New
Click on Upload Theme button at the top and browse the downloaded zip file in your computer.
Click on Install button and then Activate the theme.

Installing WP Generic Pro Theme (Cpanel / ftp)

Get a copy of WP Generic Pro Theme
Unzip the downloaded zip file.
Upload the unzipped file in to /wp-content/themes/
Now, activate the theme by going to Appearance -> Themes in the wordpress dashboard.
Activate the WP Generic Pro and Click on “Theme Option” in the Appearance Menu in the Dashboard.

Updating Theme

Backup your existing theme folder
Copy the files inside "WP Generic Pro" folder from the zip file of the latest version of WP Generic Pro Theme.
Enter the theme's admin panel and save your options.

Follow the following steps to create homepage.

Create page name with "HOME" and choose homepage template.
Then choose the page you create i.e."HOME" as static frontpage. To select Home as static, Go Admin dashboard -> Setting -> Frontpage display -> static page as frontpage -> Select Home.

Site Identity

Upload logo of your site
Enter your Site Title and Tagline
Upload Site Icon for your site.

Colors

Choose Background Color -- "Background Color" refers to the whole site background color.

Background Image

Upload image to add on Background for your website.

Static Front Page

Choose between "Your Latest Post" and "A Static Page" to show as frontpage. (Note: you must create the Page first. From Admin > Page > Add New)

Additional Css

Write your own css here.

CLICK ON "Save & Publish" TO SAVE "DEFAULT SETTINGS".

Theme Color

Choose Primary Color of the theme.('This color will replace all "#0073aa" color in the theme.")
Choose Primary Dark Color of the theme.('This color will replace all "#0073aa" color in the theme.")

Category Setup

Choose category of Blog.

Social Link Setup

Enter the Url of your Social Networks. (Note: If the url text field is empty, it won't be shown on the site.)

Preloader Setting

Select "Yes" to enable preloader on your site.
Select Background color of preloader.
Select Preloader Image.

Google Map

Enter your Google Map API key.
Enter Longitude of your Location.
Enter Latitude of your Location.
Enter number to maintain zoom level of the Google Map.

Parallax Setting

Select "Yes" to enable parallax effect on whole site.

Web Layout

Choose web layout of your site.

CLICK ON "Save & Publish" TO SAVE "Theme Setup" Settings.

Header Desing

Choose header layout.
Choose the header type.
Choose the option to align the logo on your header.
Select "Yes" to enable Sticky Header.

Top Header

Enter Contact Title.
Enter contact icon.
Enter contact number.
Enter Mail Icon.
Enter Mail id.
Select "Yes" to show Social Icons in Header.

Header Search Setting

Select 'Yes' to show search in Header.
Enter text to show in Place holder of Search field.
Enter text to show on the close button of Search form.
Enter font awesome icon class to show instead of close icon.

CLICK ON "Save & Publish" TO SAVE "HEADER SETTINGS".

Select 'Yes' to enable slider on Homepage.
Choose Slider type
- Category Slider
  - Select the slider category.
  - Select 'Yes' to show caption on the slider.
  - Select 'Yes' to show pager on the slider.
  - Select 'Yes' to show controls on the slider.
  - Select 'Yes' to On auto transition on the slider.
  - Choose Transition type of the slider.
  - Enter the numbers to define the slider speed.
  - Enter the numbers to define the slider pause time.
- Plugin Slider
  - Add shortdcode of plugin slider on Plugin shortcode text.

Section Reorder

Reorder the homepage sections by dragging items.

About Section

Select "Yes" to show about Section.
Select Page to show section title, description and featured image as background.
Enter Subtitle.
Enter Button link.
Upload Image to show on feature image in about section.
Add Url link to add video on feature image of about section.
Choose Background color of About section.

Service Section

Select 'Yes' to enable Service Section on the homepage.
Select Page to show section title, description and background image.
Choose layout of Service section.
Enter number to show total no. of posts on Service section.
Enter text to show on the Read more button.
Choose Background color of Service section.

Portfolio Section

Select 'Yes' to enable Portfolio Section on the homepage.
Select Page to show section title, description and background image.
Choose layout of Portfolio section.
Enter number to show total no. of posts on Portfolio section.
Select "Yes" to show view icon.
Select "Yes" to show link icon.
Choose Background color of Portfolio section.

Blog Section

Select 'Yes' to enable Blog Section on the homepage.
Select Page to show section title, description and background image.
Choose layout of Blog section.
Enter number to show total no. of posts on Blog section.

Enter number to show total no. of posts.

Footer Copyright

Select "Yes" to show copyright text in the footer.
Enter text to change copyright text

Footer Social Links

Select 'Yes' to show social icons in footer.

Footer Menu Setting

Select "Yes" to show menu in the footer.
Select a menu from a dropdown to show of footer.

Blog Page Setting

Select Post Layout for the Blog Page.
Select total no. of post to show on Blog Page.
Enter text to show on read more button in Blog Page.

Portfolio Page Setting

Select Post Layout for the Portfolio Page.
Select total no. of post to show on Blog Page.
Select "Yes" to show view icon.
Select "Yes" to show link icon.

Team Page Setting

Select Post Layout for the Team Page.
Enter text to show on read more button in Team Page.
Select “Yes” to show Social Links of team.
Select “Yes” to show Designation.

Testimonial Page Setting

Select Post Layout for the Testimonial Page.
Choose Testimonial image type.
Select “Yes” to show Designation.

Service Page Setting

Enter text to show on read more button in Service Page.

Contact Page Setting

Select "Yes" to show Map on Contact Page.
Enter form shortcode of the plugins to show on Contact Page.
Enter Mail title.
Enter Mail Address.
Enter Phone title.
Enter contact number.
Enter Address title.
Enter Address.

Archive Page Setting

Upload Image to show in Page header background of all Archive Page.
Select Page Layout for the Archive Page.
Select Post Layout for the Archive Page.
Enter text to show on read more button in Archive Page.

Select “Yes” to show breadcrumb in Page header.
Enter Character or html code to change separator in breadcrumb.
Enter text to change name of Home.

Setup typography for Main Menu , body and other 6 headings. Select “Yes” to setup respective typography options.

Appearance > Menus

Add Menu for your site.

Select the main menu as Primary menu after creating it.

Go to Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Widgets

And Configure Different Widgets
